Sometimes the best fics are hung off just such fleeting moments, and frith_in_thorns' recent entry, "The Never We've Been Told Before" is just such an example.
The story details a young Diana Berrigan's experiences in High School as she comes to terms with her homosexuality, first love, and yes, homophobia. It's a touching and bittersweet tale, that offers a glimpse into what may have shaped the strong woman Diana eventually becomes, and one that brought a tear to my eye (though if you know me, you know how easy that is!). I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Rated PG, and if you have sensitivities about homophobia, I will warn about that.

Kind of curious how this Matt has the scene with Marsha in the van and they have a serious discussion, which leads to this fanfic, and Saturday Matt officially announces his sexuality. I'm proud of him and what he has accomplished.
